Bovey Tracey Garden Club promotes and encourages gardening and country crafts. The Club is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society.
During the winter/spring months we have talks on subjects of horticultural interest on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, commencing at 7.30 p.m. in the Methodist Church Hall, Le Molay Littry Way, Bovey Tracey.
Excursions are organised during the year, to gardens both local and further afield.
The Club holds two shows every year, a members-only entry Spring Show (on April 4th in 2020) at the Methodist Hall, Bovey Tracey, and our main event, the Summer Show, in Parke View Meadow on the third Saturday in August.
The Annual General Meeting is held in mid-November, again at 7.30 in the Methodist Hall, and this is followed by a social evening. Membership subscription is £10.00 per year and gives free entry to our meetings and a quarterly Newsletter.
Non-members are most welcome to attend meetings and are asked to make a donation to the Club of £4.
The Club would like to express thanks to Sutton Seeds, which gives members a generous discount.
The lovely orchid at the top of the page belongs to our ex-President, Angela Tibbs, who won first prize with it in class 17 – best exhibit pot plant – in the 2018 Spring Show.
